Recycling Schemes

Recyling for Good Causes
Jewellery, bank note and gadget recycling

You can donate all your broken and unwanted jewellery to raise money for Greyhound Trust.

If you have any gold, silver, odd earrings, broken chains, costume jewellery and watches, you can recycle them at no cost to you whilst making money for Greyhound Trust.

We can recycle:

•             Any jewellery – gold, silver, costume jewellery, watches, broken and damaged items (like odd earrings, snapped chains or items with missing stones).

•             You can donate any unwanted banknotes from ANY country of any age, so all of those obsolete pre-euro notes are a perfect start!

Our partners at Recycling for Good Causes will reuse and recycle the jewellery and Banknotes, giving the proceeds to Greyhound Trust, saving precious raw materials at the same time.

If you would like to send your jewellery and banknote recycling to us, simply use your own envelope or jiffy bag (No bigger than A5 in size) and post free of charge to  FREEPOST RSXA-GJBY-ARRZ, Greyhound Trust, Unit 14, Amber Business Village, Amber Close, Tamworth, B77 4RP.

*Please do not send coins or stamps to the freepost address above as the postage costs will far outweigh your donation. *

Donate your Stamps

You can now donate your used stamps to raise much needed funds for the Greyhound Trust. All kinds of stamps are welcome, on or off paper.

Simply cut or carefully rip the postage stamp from the used envelope, being careful that you don’t damage the stamp, and once you have a collection pop them in an envelope making sure you have the correct postage to:

Greyhound Trust

PO Box 16992

Sutton Coldfield

B73 9YA

(*postage needs to be applied*)

Recycling for Good Causes will arrange collections for larger quantities of stamps weighing over 10kgs. This equates to about two buckets full of stamps.

Recycle your inkjet cartridges and mobile phones to raise money for the Trust and protect the environment. It's so easy, you just need to select the Trust and register online. You can order freepost bags to return your items in, or even arrange for a box of wanted items to be collected, free of charge! You can even monitor your account to see how much you've raised and each quarter an automatic payment will be made to your chosen cause.

Please note that due to Royal Mail's policy changes Recycle4Charity can no longer accept mobile phones in freepost bags. Mobiles sent in this way may incur a surcharge and therefore will not raise a donation. For more information on how to send in mobile phones and a full list of acceptable ink cartridges please visit Recycle4Charity

Give a Car

Do you own a vehicle that you want to sell or get rid of? Then please think about donating it to us through Giveacar!

Giveacar raises money for UK charities by scrapping and selling old cars. They provide a nationwide FREE service which:

  • Arranges the collection of the vehicle from your home for FREE; and
  • Recycles it at an authorised facility or sends it to auction (depending on its age and condition).

Scrap donations raise about £55 for the charity (depending on the price of metal) while auction cars can raise much more.

To arrange donation of a car, visit www.giveacar.co.uk or call 020 7736 4242, quoting the Retired Greyhound Trust as your preferred charity.
